Vitrual for reality' sake (virtual de Dragu' realității) – Cultural excursion and VR experiences in the village of Dragu (Sălaj)
On a late autumn day, we invite you to leave the city behind and head to Dragu—a village rich in history, stories, and technology, where we will share a cultural experience that blends tradition with innovation.
We’ll depart from Cluj in the morning, and upon arrival in Dragu, we’ll gather at the school for our first glimpse into the world of VR dance—immersive films that bring movement to life in virtual spaces. Then, guided by the ARCHÉ Association team, we’ll explore the village’s most soulful sites: the wooden church, Wesselényi-Bethlen Castle (Bethlen Castle), and the Watermill, a space with the potential to become a future cultural center.
At the Watermill, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own VR drawing, integrating the space’s contours with your own vision—an innovative method of artistic expression that also serves as a form of public consultation, helping the community envision how this space might be used in the future.
At noon, we’ll return to the school for a community meal, followed by discussions and more VR viewings under the gentle autumn light. We’ll end the day with a renewed sense of connection between village and city, between tradition and innovation. 🌾
📩 Participation is free, and transportation from Cluj is provided for the first 49 registered participants.
