Danstopic panoramic

360° film · Dance

Danstopic panoramic exposes the experience of an interrogation brought to dance and suggests for the public a way of access to their own body. The work process guided by Alexandra Balasoiu and Loredana Larionescu started with the Danstopic Vlog interview series, the individual training sessions with guests and the visually augmented letter series, Danstopic Letters. In this approach, Simona Dabija accumulated fragments of intentions, perceptions and desires, which she filtered through her own experience, observing their resonance in her own body. Thus was born a dance of all bodies, a protest of the living body, both restrained and expressive.

About

coVR Videos was founded by Konrad Mihat to explore the use of modern media formats in cultural projects ranging from architecture to dance and social impact.

Konrad Mihat

Konrad Mihat is the founder of coVR Videos and a multidisciplinary media maker specialising in panoramic 360° film for virtual reality. A graduate of Babeș-Bolyai University in photography, cinematography and media, he has worked since 2006 across film, immersive photography and video art. Alongside his artistic practice he brings a background in cultural project management and event production, from co-founding the urban-regeneration platform Calup to coordinating international cultural events, which he draws on to develop and deliver coVR's projects from concept through implementation. Since 2017 his work has focused on the meeting point of culture and care, with immersive films selected at international festivals including FIVARS, ART+VR and SONA.

Many projects are created with Asociația Entuziart and psychotherapist Loredana Larionescu, who leads their therapeutic and dance movement therapy components, while coVR contributes the immersive media practice. These works are artistic and experiential; where they engage therapeutic methods, they do so in partnership with qualified practitioners and are not intended as stand alone medical treatment.
